Leila Wilson
Task Force Intern

Leila is a graduate from Western Michigan University completing her capstone internship with Prevention Works and the Kalamazoo County Substance Abuse Task Force. While attending Western she studied Community Health Education and Event Management. She was brought on to the Prevention Works team to assist in planning the annual Youth Summit event and to expand her personal knowledge of community health initiatives and tactics that are used to create healthy change.She appreciates how educating and knowledge-lending the team at Prevention Works has been during her time spent with them along with the many different experiences she has gotten to participate in along the way.

Upon completing her internship she plans to remain in Kalamazoo for a while longer to continue learning and gaining more experience with health initiatives and the many ways she can work directly with the community.
